Arrange to have two letters of reference sent to

One letter should come from one of your math instructors or someone
else with knowledge of your mathematical abilities.
The other should come from one of your science (preferably
physics or chemistry) instructors or someone else with knowledge of your
scientific abilities.
Each letter should address the following
questions:
How long, and in what capacity, have you known the
applicant?
Did the applicant distinguish himself/herself from the
class? If so, how?
Would you characterize the applicant as a diligent
worker? Can you cite examples to back up your
characterization?
Overall, do you recommend the applicant as a potential
researcher?
Send us your complete transcripts. Unofficial transcripts
are acceptable until you are selected.
